On March 15, 2025, BYSO will present its inaugural Spring Fanfare– a day to celebrate and share BYSO’s programs,
students and impact, while also opening the doors of the BYSO Youth Center for Music to our communities
About / What to Expect Attending the BYSO Spring Fanfare
• Access to explore the incredible new BYSO Youth Center for Music, including tours from student Ambassadors
• Performances by BYSO Chamber Groups
• Instrument Demonstrations and interactive workshops by BYSO Musicians
• A sneak peek at BYSO summer programming including Dalcroze Eurythmics Workshop (see below for more information)
• Information about BYSO's upcoming performances, summer programs, and auditions
• ICP Winds Recruitment Infromation Session (see below for more information)
3:30pm-4pm Dalcroze Eurhythmics (Music through movement) nurtures musicality, creativity, imagination, and expressivity. This 30 minute introductory workshop will guide students as they listen for rhythm, pitch, harmony, and more, using body movement, voice, and instruments to respond. Recommended for children ages 6 through 10.
Space is limited and registration is required by Friday, February 28, 2025; separate registrations must be completed for each child. Registration does not guarantee a spot; you will receive confirmation of participation by Friday, March 7, 2025.
4pm-5pm Intensive Community Program (ICP) Winds Recruitment Information Session Interested students and families are invited to learn more about our Intensive Community Program during an information session! ICP will recruit winds students in grades 2-5 (as of September 2025) starting this fall. This session will also include performances by students in ICP and an opportunity to speak with staff at the program.
