BYSO Summer ChamberFest / at the BYSO Youth Center for Music

Program Description
ChamberFest is a 5-day summer intensive chamber music program for intermediate to advanced string players and pianists, ages 8-18. Students receive twice-daily chamber coachings, participate in enrichment classes, and perform in a final concert.
Based on the huge success of last year’s inaugural ChamberFest, we are expanding the program to two five-day sessions. We are also excited to introduce a new opportunity for advanced high school students: the Ensemble in Residence program, which includes reduced tuition and coaching sessions with our guest artists, the Arneis Quartet.
Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Please submit this Application Form to indicate your interest in ChamberFest, and we will contact you to schedule an audition (non-BYSO students) or a placement interview (current BYSO students).

Who
Ages: 8-18 (younger students may be accepted if deemed at appropriate level)
Levels: ChamberFest is recommended for students at Suzuki Book 4/ABRSM Grade 4 or higher. Advanced high school students will be considered for the Ensemble in Residence program.
Price
Registration Fee: $50
Tuition: $995 per one-week session, or $1900 for both weeks
Registration information and payment will be due in early April after auditions and placement interviews have been completed.

Auditions
Auditions for non-BYSO members will be held in early March. Current BYSO students do not have to audition to be accepted, but will be asked to play for a ChamberFest faculty member in March so that we can create the best possible groups.
